The MOD HUB Series of modular active hubs allows for the field expansion
of ports by the simple addition of an expansion module. Four- and
twelve-slot chassis are available that will support up to 48 ports. |
These expansion modules are installed in the MOD HUB Series of modular
active hubs and are used to connect to coaxial, fiber optic and
twisted-pair networks. Cable technologies can be mixed within a
module.
Intended for quick and simple installations, the QuickLink Series
has eight ports for either coaxial star or twisted-pair star installations. |
For expanding bus networks in the field, the AI
Series offers numerous models of two- and three-port devices supporting
coaxial, fiber optic and twisted-pair cabling including EIA-485.
This special version of the AI Series implements a
fiber optic ring resulting in a redundant path in case the
primary path fails. Cable failures are annunciated.

The AI Server Series
provides ARCNET connectivity to Ethernet networks thus allowing
access to private and public networks including the Internet.

The AI-USB provides functionality similar
to an AI Series hub, but gives access to a host PC via the Universal Serial Bus (USB).
